If you were looking to put a ring on it with a 10-carat blue diamond and had a spare $32 million to spend, you missed your chance. The De Beers Millennium Jewel 4, the largest “oval fancy vivid blue diamond to ever appear at auction,”—sold for a record-breaking price on Tuesday.
According to Sotheby’s, the gavel for the 10.10-carat rock dropped at $31.8 million, the “highest price ever paid for a jewel at auction in Asia.” The blue diamond shattered the previous record of $30.6 million, which bought one lucky buyer a 118.28-carat diamond in October 2013.

An anonymous telephone bidder purchased the jewel in the auction, which lasted just a few minutes, Reuters reports. No word yet on what he or she plans to do with the record-breaking new treasure.
